Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training is a requirement for federal funding (e.g., NSF, NIH, USDA NIFA.). UF Research offers an RCR Summer Seminar Series that meets NSF and USDA grant requirements. The university also offers online training (CITI) to meet these requirements. Given the national incidents of questionable research practices (QRP) and research misconduct, ARCS recommends additional hands-on training.

Putting into practice RCR requires a fundamental understanding of the research project lifecycle or scholarly primitives. The library resources workshop focuses on:
- Integrating course concepts to further develop critical thinking skills
- Identifying the 6 phases of the research project management lifecycle including:
- Understanding article types: scholarly vs non-scholarly
- Using appropriate primary and secondary sources
- Managing citations: in-text and bibliography
